Chancellor of the Nicolaus Copernicus Superior School, Wojciech Kondrat took part in the 25th anniversary of Prof. Arkadiusz Adamczyk’s academic work. He spoke at a panel discussion on the organization and management of science.
Prof. Arkadiusz Adamczyk’s research interests include past and present Polish elites and political formations (with particular emphasis on the Piłsudski circle), as well as European political and geopolitical thought of the 20th century. He is a graduate of the University of Lodz. Manager and participant in several international projects carried out jointly with the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Moravian Masaryk University in Brno, Charles University in Prague, University of Tarragona, Universidad Nova de Lisboa, University of Ivano-Frankivsk, Charles Esterházy University in Eger, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Hungary, the Council for the Protection of Remembrance of Struggle and Martyrdom, as well as with scientists from Polish research institutions.
Between 2012 and 2014, professor Adamczyk was in charge of the project “The historial politics of V4 countries: the life and political role of János Esterházy in archival and press sources” carried out by the Hungarian and Slovak Academies of Sciences, Charles University in Prague and Jan Kochanowski University within the framework of the Visegrad Fund’s Standard Grants program. Since 2014, member of the NETCOR international research network and participant in the Rethinking European Corporativism project, carried out under the leadership of Prof. Paula Borges Santos (Universidad Nova de Lisboa). Since 2018, Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Wacław Felczak Institute for Polish-Hungarian Cooperation in Warsaw. On January 10, 2019, he was appointed by the Archbishop of Kraków, Rev. Prof. Marek Jędraszewski, as Chairman of the Expert Commission appointed in the beatification process of SB. János Esterházy. In 2018, director of the Central Research and Development Center for Textile Machinery POLMATEX-CENARO in Łódź, director of the Institute of Leather Industry in Łódź (now part of the Łukasiewicz Research Network). From 2001 to 2017 he was a member of the authorities of the Józef Piłsudski Institute in Warsaw (2010-2017 President of the Institute) and from 2002 to 2017 member of the editorial board of the journal “Independence” (2010-2017 editor-in-chief). He worked as Editor-in-Chief of the annual journal “Politics and Security”(2010-2018) and Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Law4Growth think tank (2018-2019). Professor Adamczyk is an author, co-author and editor of 20 books, and more than 200 scientific articles.
