We invite all ambitious young people, high school graduates, students and young scientists to participate in the “Dom Kopernika” Contest!
There are 4 days left to submit a contest entry for a chance to win.

What can you win?  

• studies at the Nicolaus Copernicus University (SGMK): for high school graduates – first degree studies, for students – second degree studies, for graduates – MBA studies at the SGMK College of Economics and Management. 
• Participation in the international scientific congress Futurist of The Year 2024 featuring world-famous futurologists, outstanding scientists, including Nobel laureates, specialists in the future of education, technology, economics, banking, and technology, including artificial intelligence. Among them are such names as Gerd Leonhard, Thomas Frey, Jonathan Brill, Gary A. Bolles, prof. Nick Bostrom, Dr Michael L. Brodie, prof. Mark Coeckelbergh and many others. 

What are the requirements?

Until February 29, 2024 – you need to send an application and a competition paper entitled  “Nicolaus Copernicus – Futurist of The Year” (scientific article – max. 5 A4 pages) via the registration questionnaire at www.domkopernika.pl/konkurs or via e-mail: konkurs@domkopernika.pl.  

The paper is a nomination of Nicolaus Copernicus for the Futurist of The Year 2024 award and contains the author’s unique perspective on Nicolaus Copernicus in the context of the future of technology, economics and education.  

Who is the competition for? 

• people interested in attending the Futurist Of The Year 2024 congress and participating in the three-day activities and finals of the “Dom Kopernika” competition in Warsaw, while not interested in studying at SGMK, (www.futuristoftheyear.com) 
• high school graduates in 2024 interested in first-degree studies – three places are provided for first-degree studies at the Nicolaus Copernicus University (SGMK) in the program conducted within the SGMK College of Economics and Management (provided the winner obtains the high school diploma in 2024), 
• students interested in second-degree studies – three places are provided for second-degree studies at the Nicolaus Copernicus Superior School (SGMK) in the program conducted within the SGMK College of Economic and Management Sciences, 
• graduates interested in MBA studies – three places were provided for MBA studies (Banking and Financial System. Edition II) at the Nicolaus Copernicus Superior School (SGMK). 

Schedule of the Dom Kopernika competition: 

• Accepting applications (Stage I): February 1 to 29, 2024 The deadline for accepting applications has been extended to March 10, 2024 (ed. SGMK – February 28, 2024). 
• Announcement of the results of the first stage of the competition: by March 20, 2024. 
• Presentation of the awards in the form of admission cards to the congress: by March 20, 2024. 
• Futurist Of The Year 2024 Congress: April 9-11, 2024. 
• Training, workshops and preparation for finalists: April 9, 2024. 
• Stage II of the competition: April 10, 2024. 
• Announcement of winners: April 11, 2024 during the last day of the Futurist of the Year 2024 congress. 
• Closing of the competition: April 11, 2024.

The “Dom Kopernika” Competition – was organized within the framework of the DOM KOPERNIKA Project, which is now three streams of support (Competition, Start-Up, Publications), aimed at ambitious young people, implemented to support them in the development of passions related to technology, economics and the future of education. 

The DOM KOPERNIKA project is implemented as part of the NBP’s economic education program by the Copernicus Academy in cooperation with SGMK and other partners.
