Another inspiring session of the MBA program

The weekend of October 7-8 saw another session of the MBA program organized by the NBP Academy, Nicolaus Copernicus Superior School and Copernican Academy. The main topics covered during the classes were: 

– “Strategic Asset Allocation” and “Investment Performance Evaluation”. – lectures by Dr. Juliusz Jablecki; 

– “The Global Financial System” and “The System of Public Finance in the Economy” lectures by Prof. Konrad Raczkowski; 

– “Financial risk and systemic risk” – lectures by Dr. Paweł Smaga, Prof. SGH. 

The next classes have been scheduled for the weekend of October 21-22. 

Konrad Raczkowski – Professor of economic sciences, Ph.D. in management of public institutions, pro-rector of UKSW and director of the Center for the World Economy. From 2012 to 2021 he was the director of the Economic Institute of the Social Academy of Sciences in Warsaw and head of the Department of Management in the Economy. He specializes in management in the economic system, public finance and informal economy and enterprise restructuring. He has held supervisory and management positions in domestic and international companies. From 2015 to 2020, he was a member of the National Development Council to the President of Poland. Former Deputy Minister of Finance. Winner of numerous awards. 

Juliusz Jablecki – PhD, director of the Financial Risk Management Department at the National Bank of Poland. Assistant Professor at the Department of Quantitative Finance at the Faculty of Economic Sciences, University of Warsaw. He is the author of numerous publications on finance in domestic and foreign professional and scientific journals. 

Paweł Smaga – economic advisor in the Department of Financial Stability at the National Bank of Poland. He is a professor at the Department of Financial System, Warsaw School of Economics. His research interests include: banking, financial stability, systemic risk and banking regulation in the EU. He has co-authored and reviewed numerous articles in professional periodicals. His research papers have received awards from the Chairman of the Board of the BFG, the President of the NBP, the Financial Ombudsman and the JM Rector of SGH. In 2022, he was awarded the Prime Minister’s Award in the category of high-scoring scientific achievements that became the basis for granting the degree of Doctor of Science.
