Call for applications: Anders NAWA Scholarship Program for the Polish Diaspora

The National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) has announced the call for applications for the 8th edition of the General Władysław Anders Scholarship Program, a flagship scholarship program for young people of Polish descent from outside Poland. This is a unique opportunity for people from all over the world who want to associate their future with Polish higher education to begin or continue their studies in Poland.

Thanks to the Anders NAWA program, more than 4,700 young people from countries such as Colombia, Spain, Kyrgyzstan and Ukraine have already begun studying in Poland. The program offers the opportunity to undertake full-time first-cycle, second-cycle, or uniform Master’s studies, preceded – if necessary – by a one-year preparatory course.

Who can apply?

The offer is addressed to:

  • persons of Polish origin who do not have Polish citizenship,
  • persons with dual citizenship (Polish and another country) who have completed their bachelor’s degree in Poland and wish to continue their studies at the postgraduate level,
  • students already studying in Poland – contingent upon very good academic performance.

Since the 2025 edition, eligibility has been expanded – dual nationals can now also apply for a scholarship for the second degree or continuation of studies in Poland.

Application deadlines:

  • First-cycle and uniform Master’s studies –  July 9, 2025
  • Second-cycle studies – May 22, 2025

What does the Program offer?

The NAWA Director’s Scholarship includes:

  • exemption from tuition fees at public universities,
  • monthly financial support during studies,
  • opportunity to study in a wide range of fields – except for applied linguistics and foreign philology (apart from Polish philology and Polish as a foreign language).

The program is also accepting applications for the Minister of Health Scholarship (for medical schools) and the Minister of Culture and National Heritage Scholarship (for art schools).
