Colin W.P. Lewis, UW professor, AGISI scientist, applied AI expert speaker at the AI&EDU SGMK scientific congress

Dr. Colin W.P. Lewis, a researcher at the Artificial General Intelligence Sentinel Initiative (AGISI), an expert in the field of applied artificial intelligence, and a professor at the University of Warsaw, will be a speaker at the AI&EDU SGMK Scientific Congress. He will give a lecture entitled “Artificial intelligence: Where we are and where are we heading”.

The AI&EDU SGMK science congress will be held on June 13-14 in Warsaw. Just like the Futurist of the Year SGMK, the largest futurological science congress of 2024, it will become an interdisciplinary space for the exchange of knowledge and experience of Polish and foreign experts and researchers. Colin W.P. Lewis is an expert in behavioral economics and data science at the London School of Economics. He is an artificial intelligence researcher and co-founder of the Artificial General Intelligence Sentinel Initiative (AGISI). His research work focuses on data, technology automation, robotics, artificial intelligence and their impact on society. Most of his work is devoted to understanding human intelligence and creating artificial intelligence solutions that will benefit humanity. 

He worked as a Data Scientist at Palantir Technologies, implementing their AI systems in banks and government institutions. He holds two patents in artificial intelligence applications and is an international business and policy advisor, specializing in the social and economic impact of technological change. 

Early in his career, Dr. Lewis was the founder and CEO of a software integration company, leading the company from start-up to stock-listing. He has also worked as an advisor to large corporations and central banks on corporate governance and compliance activities. 

He has written articles for the Harvard Business Review, Financial Times and Bloomberg. His research on artificial intelligence and data science is frequently cited in the media and used by companies and government agencies to better understand the development of advanced technologies.
