Information on the procedure for requesting digital accessibility

Anyone has the right to request digital accessibility of a website or some element of it. You can also request that the information be made available through an alternative means of access, for example, by reading a digitally inaccessible document, describing the content of a film without an audiotape, etc. The request should include the following details:

  • contact information of the person making the request,
  • indication of the website or website element to be digitally accessible,
  • indication of how to contact the person making the request.

If the person making the request indicates a need to receive information by an alternative means of access, he or she should also specify a convenient way of presenting the information.

Nicolaus Copernicus Superior School will fulfill the request immediately, no later than within 7 days from the date of the request. If it is not possible to meet this deadline, the SGMK will immediately inform the requester of this fact and specify when fulfillment of the request will be possible, but the deadline cannot be longer than 2 months from the date of the request. If it is not possible to provide digital accessibility, the SGMK may propose an alternative way to access the information.

If the SGMK refuses to comply with a request to provide accessibility or an alternative way to access the information, the requester may file a complaint about failure to provide digital accessibility of the website or website element. The complaint may be submitted by e-mail to sekretariat@sgmk.edu.pl or by postal mail to: Nicolaus Copernicus Superior School, 47a Nowogrodzka St., 00-695 Warsaw. After exhausting the procedure indicated above, you can also submit a request to the Ombudsman.
