On February 16, we held a press conference at the Nicolaus Copernicus Superior School to discuss the Dom Kopernika Project and the Futurist of the Year 2024 Science Congress.
We began at 10:00 a.m. with a welcoming speech by the Director of Science, Katarzyna Ciechowicz. Then the Rector of the School, Dr. Piotr Turek, shared information about both projects and reintroduced the rules of the Dom Kopernika competition, from which the winners will receive attractive prizes – the opportunity to participate in the congress and a free place at the first and second degree programs at the College of Economics and Management of the Nicolaus Copernicus Superior School in Warsaw. In addition, Rector Dr. Piotr Turek summarized the first edition of our MBA program, which is just coming to a conclusion, and doctoral studies at our colleges. The Secretary General of the Copernicus Academy, Prof. Dr. Krzysztof Marian Górski, also spoke, talking about the academy’s activities and the cooperation between the Copernicus Academy and Nicolaus Copernicus Superior School. The conference ended with the Director of Academic and Educational Affairs, Katarzyna Ciechowicz, summarizing the highlights and achievements of the school over the past year and announcing planned events, emphasizing that in the fall SGMK is launching first and second degree programs. At the end, participants were invited for refreshments and a lecture by Wojciech Orliński, entitled “How did Nicolaus Copernicus change the future?”.
We would like to thank everyone for participating in the conference. We are glad that we were able to discuss key topics together. We hope that in the future we will organize periodic meetings, during which we will continue lectures on the biography and achievements of Nicolaus Copernicus.
