Dr. Mark Esposito – Professor of Economics at Harvard University, Fourth Industrial Revolution expert, will speak at FOTY2024.

Dr. Mark Esposito is internationally recognized as the global thought leader on issues related to the Fourth Industrial Revolution. He is a global expert for the World Economic Forum and an advisor to the governments of many countries. At Harvard, he is a research fellow at Harvard University, the Center for International Development at Harvard Kennedy School, Harvard’s Institute for Quantitative Social Science and the Davis Center for Eurasian Studies. Mark Esposito is a professor of economics and public policy at Harvard University and the Hult International Business School, where he directs the Futures Impact Lab.

He is also currently affiliated with the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, Georgetown University, Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government, UCL Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose. Recognized by Thinkers360 as one of the world’s top 50 sustainability thinkers and listed as one of the world’s 30 most prominent emerging business thinkers. He is an advisor to UNESCO, the Ideation Center of Strategy& at PwC in Dubai, and the UC Berkeley SkyDeck incubator from 2022 at the India Dialog at Stanford University’s Asia Technology Center in the US.

He is the author of more than 150 scientific publications, 13 books, including 2 bestsellers: “Understanding how the Future Unfolds” (2017) and “The AI Republic” (2019).

Dr. Mark Esposito – BIO

He is a professor of economics and public policy, affiliated with Harvard University and Hult International Business School. At Harvard, he is active in research and is a Professor of Social Sciences at Harvard Kennedy School’s Center for International Development, Harvard University’s Institute for Quantitative Social Science (IQSS) and at the Davis Center for Eurasian Studies. He was also an Affiliated Lecturer in Competitive Microeconomics at Harvard Business School, under the mentorship of Professor Michael E. Porter, and held the position of Founding Fellow at the Circular Economy Research Center at Judge Business School, University of Cambridge, where he continues to serve as a Senior Associate. He serves in advisory roles to governments in the Gulf and Eurasia regions, as well as global expert at the World Economic Forum and a lecturer at the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government and Georgetown University. He co-founded a machine learning research company, Nexus FrontierTech, and a technology education venture: The Circular Economy Alliance. He holds a PhD from Ecole des Ponts ParisTech and lives between Boston, Geneva and Dubai.

In 2016, he was included in the Thinkers50 Radar as one of the world’s 30 most prominent emerging business thinkers and one of the world’s top 50 sustainability thinkers according to Thinkers360. He is a senior advisor to the Ideation Center of Strategy& at PwC in Dubai and the UC Berkeley SkyDeck incubator.
