The International Astronautical Congress (IAC) is returning to Poland after more than 60 years. The 78th edition of the congress will be held in Poznań, in 2027. On April 2, at the headquarters of the International Astronautical Federation (IAF), Clay Mowry, president of the IAF Federation, and Łukasz Wilczyński, president of the European Space Foundation, signed an agreement to organize the congress.

The theme of the 2027 International Astronautical Congress will be “One Space. Shared Future,” which is intended as a reminder that space is a shared space for all people.

The IAC International Astronautical Congress is the largest space industry conference in the world. It is hosted in a different country each year. In recent years, the congress has been organized in Washington, Dubai, Paris, Baku, and in 2024 – Milan, where the decision was made to award the organization of IAC 2027 to Poland.
