International conference on European funds for PWD

Representatives of the Nicolaus Copernicus Superior School took part in the international conference “EF for PWD. How European Funds are changing the lives of persons with disabilities”. 

The conference, organized by the Podlaskie Regional Council for Persons with Disabilities, in cooperation with the Polish Forum for Persons with Disabilities, the Warsaw School of Economics, the Institute for Independent Living Association and AccessibleEU, was held on February 26 in Warsaw. 

It presented the effects of the implementation of the European Funds and the possibilities of using EU funds to implement the provisions of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and the principles of social inclusion. 

The main theme of the conference was the practical experience of people with disabilities-advocates and those working on their behalf, related to the European Funds.

Nicolaus Copernicus Superior School, together with the “L” Foundation, is implementing the “Accessible Nicolaus Copernicus Superior School” project. It aims to develop an accessibility system and provide equal opportunities in academic life for students and employees of SGMK with different types of disabilities.
