Representatives of the Nicolaus Copernicus Superior School met with the Commandant of the Police Training Center in Legionowo to discuss cooperation within the framework of the “Suicidology – state of knowledge analysis and educational campaign” project, implemented by SGMK.
The first stage of the project resulted in the scientific report “SUICIDOLOGY – STATE OF KNOWLEDGE ANALYSIS AND EDUCATIONAL CAMPAIGN”. The researchers conducted an in-depth sociological analysis of the phenomenon and the effectiveness of various methods of suicide prevention. They evaluated actions of different institutions, including health care organizations, government agencies and NGOs and identified the best practices to be implemented as part of the prevention project.
SGMK is currently implementing the second phase of the project, which involves the development of an educational program for teachers, parents and caregivers focusing on early recognition of suicide risk symptoms among children. Educational materials will be developed for children and adolescents, and educational workshops will be held targeting various community groups.
During the meeting, the possibility of cooperation between CKP in Legionowo and SGMK University was also discussed.
