Otwarcie kolegium nauk medycznych w Olsztynie

On October 3, 2023, the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the Nicolaus Copernicus Superior School School opened in Olsztyn.

During the inauguration, Dean Professor Andrzej Rynkiewicz reminded that the Nicolaus Copernicus Superior School will educate future researchers in the fields of astronomy, medicine, philosophy and theology, as well as economics and law – the scientific disciplines practiced by Nicolaus Copernicus. Medical doctoral students will be educated and conduct research in Olsztyn, where he spent a few years of his life.

“I hope that most of them have such a talent for curiosity about the world, as was the case with Copernicus. We hope that in the future they will be leaders of academic medicine in Poland. We are mainly counting on that.” – said Prof. Rynkiewicz at the inauguration.

According to Warmińsko-Mazurskie Voivode Artur Chojecki, the location of the College in Olsztyn is a tribute to the astronomer. Law and Justice MP Iwona Arent stressed that the launch of the College of Medical Sciences in Olsztyn is an ennoblement for the Warmia region: “This is a window to the world, the future of Olsztyn. Building the intellectual resource of the city. The Copernican Academy is also attracting celebrities, professors and scientists from the medical field, which contributes to the development of the entire scientific world of Warmia and Mazury.”

The inauguration of the academic year will take place in early November.
