The signatories pledged to make joint efforts to build Poland’s capacity and competence in Earth observation. These will contribute to the development of Polish autonomy in this area, enabling the country to respond effectively to geopolitical and environmental challenges, as well as crisis situations.

The partnership is based on four pillars on which joint activities will be implemented. They are:

Shaping the Polish space strategy – the goal is to develop a common position of the industry on the shape of the Polish Space Strategy and the National Space Program.

Strengthening Polish competence in the area of Earth observation – Earth observation is of fundamental importance for national security, so it is crucial that the Polish state has autonomous capabilities in this area. The partnership is designed to strengthen these capabilities so that key processes – from data acquisition to data processing and analysis – can be carried out domestically.

Increasing investment in satellite observation technologies – The partnership is to promote greater financial support for Polish companies operating in the area of satellite Earth observation, especially from the public administration, which will help companies bring innovative solutions to the market faster.

Cooperation with research and educational institutions – the development of the Polish Earth observation sector will be closely linked to building new competencies. The partnership relies on the development of cooperation with universities and research centers to strengthen knowledge transfer, support scientific research and educate future personnel.
