Rector of the Nicolaus Copernicus Superior School Dr. Piotr Turek took part in the Polish Science Gala, during which the Minister of Science Awards were presented.

The gala was held last Sunday in Warsaw and was organized on the eve of Polish Science Day, celebrated on February 19.

Polish Science Day falls on the birthday of Nicolaus Copernicus, one of Poland’s most prominent scientists. February 19, 2024, was the 551st anniversary of his birth. The holiday was established in 2020 and was celebrated for the fifth time.

On the eve of the holiday in Warsaw, during the Polish Science Gala, Awards of the Minister of Science were presented to distinguished representatives of the world of science and higher education – for significant achievements in science, teaching, implementation and organizational activities, as well as for lifetime achievement. The gala was held in the main auditorium of the Warsaw University of Technology.
