Polish space law expert receives international award

Dr. Katarzyna Malinowska, director of the Center for Space Studies at Kozminski University, has received the prestigious Rosalind Franklin Society 2023 award for outstanding achievements in the field of space law. 

Professor Malinowska was recognized for her groundbreaking research, in particular for her paper “From Safety to Security: Legal and Regulatory Approaches to Space Situational Awareness.” The article is available online. 

Each year, the Rosalind Franklin Society awards prizes for the best scientific papers published in peer-reviewed journals. Professor Katarzyna Malinowska won the award for her publication in New Space.

The Rosalind Franklin Society is an organization supporting and promoting the achievements of women and minorities in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. It was founded in honor of Rosalind Franklin, a prominent British crystallographer whose work was crucial to the discovery of the DNA structure.
