Prof. Michael L. Brodie - an expert in artificial intelligence and big data, professor at Harvard University and M.I.T., will be a speaker at the AI&EDU SGMK congress.
The AI&EDU SGMK science congress will be held on June 13-14 in Warsaw. Just like the Futurist of the Year SGMK, the largest futurological science congress of 2024, it will become an interdisciplinary space for the exchange of knowledge and experience of Polish and foreign experts and researchers. Prof. Michael L. Brodie is a visiting professor at DASlab, Harvard University’s School of Engineering and Applied Sciences and M.I.T. He works on Data Science, databases, distributed systems, artificial intelligence and the application of multidisciplinary approaches to problem solving. He has more than 45 years of research experience and is an author of more than 200 articles and seven books on advanced technologies. For over 25 years, he has worked as Chief Scientist of Verizon, where he was responsible for emerging technologies – architectures, methodologies, and strategies.
He holds a PhD in databases and AI from the University of Toronto and a Doctor of Science (honoris causa) from the National University of Ireland. He has carried out research and academic activities in the field of computer science in Canada, the USA, Germany, France, Italy, Australia, and Ireland. He has served on advisory boards of many national and international research organizations, including the United States National Academy of Sciences.
