On March 10, 2025, the Nicolaus Copernicus Superior School signed a cooperation agreement with the Central European Academy (CEA) of Budapest at the SGMK headquarters in Warsaw. This important event opens a new chapter in international scientific cooperation, enabling joint research, academic exchanges and the organization of conferences and seminars.
Speaking at the ceremony were SGMK Rector Prof. Gertruda Uścińska, CEA Director General Prof. Tímea Heinerné Barzó, and Hungarian Minister of Culture and Innovation Balázs Hankó. In their speeches, they emphasized the importance of international academic cooperation in the face of global challenges and the need to jointly develop interdisciplinary research.
Scope of cooperation
The first joint research projects and activities aimed at integrating the academic communities of the two institutions will begin in the following months. The agreement provides for the implementation of a number of initiatives that will be developed in the coming years. The main areas of cooperation include:
- implementation of joint research and research projects,
- exchange of academic staff, doctoral candidates and students,
- organization of international conferences, seminars and workshops,
- publishing cooperation and development of scientific publications,
- exchange of knowledge and experience in innovation and education.
International development of SGMK
SGMK is consistently developing its relationships with foreign partners, aiming to create a strong network of international scientific cooperation. The agreement with the Central European Academy is another step in this direction, which will allow the intensification of research and the development of innovative European educational programs. In addition to the symbolic act of signing the agreement, the meeting united the academic, scientific and cultural communities, providing a solid foundation for the implementation of ambitious plans for the future. The joint initiative opens up new opportunities for the development of international cooperation on many levels.
