SGMK launches a study of social services for the City of Łomża

The Nicolaus Copernicus Superior School has launched a survey of Łomża’s local community. The first individual in-depth interviews were carried out on April 11.

The contract for conducting an assessment of the social service needs and potential in the Łomża’s local community was signed on March 17 this year between the Rector of the Nicolaus Copernicus Superior School, Prof. Gertruda Uścińska, and the Mayor of the City of Łomża.

The research is being conducted as part of the “Social Services Center in the City of Lomża” project implemented under Priority VIII – Funds for Education and Social Inclusion, Measure 8.4 – Increasing the Availability of Social Services of the European Funds for Podlasie 2021-2027 program.

SGMK researchers will carry out a series of surveys including IDI/TDI interviews with city residents, individual in-depth interviews with local leaders, and group in-depth interviews (FGI) with representatives of city institutions, residents, NGO’s, entrepreneurs and social economy entities.

Quantitative CAWI surveys will also be conducted with residents, as well as a recommendation workshop on independent living of adults.

The research will culminate with a final report containing conclusions and recommendations for the development of a social services program.
