Bartłomiej Bartos, a PhD student in the College of Medical Sciences at Nicolaus Copernicus Superior School, became a finalist of the prestigious Young Investigators Award sponsored by the European Society for Cardiovascular Prevention. 

He was recognized for his research paper entitled “Cholesterol paradox in atrial fibrillation: is it solved in lipid-lowering drug users?”, which he presented at 2024 ESC Preventive Cardiology Congress 2024. 

The Young Investigator Awards are designed to support original research and scientific development. The ESC supports the future of cardiovascular medicine. Each year, it provides €2 million in grants, scholarships and fellowships. The sessions, held during the ESC Congress, give young scientists a unique opportunity to present their most innovative and cutting-edge research.
