The youngest SGMK professor joins precision medicine research group at Chalmers University of Technology

Jakub Morze will join as a postdoctoral fellow the Precision Medicine and Diagnostic Research Group led by Clemens Wittenbecher, at the Department of Food Science and Nutrition, chaired by Rikard Landberg.

The project will focus on identifying multiomic signatures of cardiometabolic disorders, using data from the Swedish CArdio Pulmonary bioImage Study (#SCAPIS). This initiative involves extensive biobanking and imaging studies with more than 30,000 participants from six centers in Sweden. The project combines the research and clinical activities of Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg Medical University and Gothenburg University Hospital.

Since September 2023, Jakub Morze has been working on a launch of the College of Medical Sciences at Nicolaus Copernicus Superior School. In January 2024, he joined the university’s staff as a professor at the college, making him arguably the youngest Polish scholar in this position.
